Tip #6: Don’t Forget To Send Thank You Notes. This tip is geared towards the bride and groom, not the guests.
The art of handwritten letters has been lost, and it breaks my heart. Nothing brightens up my day like a thoughtful, handwritten note. It takes time, and effort, and shows just how valuable a person is to you.
When it comes to your wedding guests, the fact that you invited them to be a part of your special day shows that they are important in your life. Be mindful of the fact that they took time, energy and money out of their lives to come share in your celebration. Don’t be selfish, don’t be dismissive and don’t be rude. Take the time to personally thank your guests, both for being a part of your day and for whatever gifts they have given you. (and do it in a timely manner–not 3 years later.)
You’re going to remember your special day forever, and your guests will remember that you took the time to thank them for being a part of it.
