Jordan and Jason’s romantic ferryboat wedding was one of my favorites as far as floral design goes from this last year. Jordan and I met in the fall. She was a bridesmaid of another bride we had done flowers for the year previous. Jordan described her vision for the day and I was so excited, she really trusted me to choose her flowers but wanted to include peonies and garden roses The color palette she chose was cream, plum, lavender, peach with gold accents. Her bridesmaids work mismatched gold dresses and the groomsmen work gray suits. The bouquets looked stunning against the dresses and the lavender tones were a great accompaniment to the gray suits.
Jordan and Jason were married on the Skansonia ferry. The ferry is permanently docked on North Lake Union, this historic venue offers sweeping panoramic views of the Seattle skyline and vintage nautical decor which was the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
The details were simple and elegant. We designed a large gold framed chalkboard seating chart, and a chalkboard welcome sign with hand lettering and greenery garland to welcome guests to the venue. An assortment of lanterns lined the ceremony aisle and compote bowls with florals, votive candles and simple gold stands with table numbers made a beautiful statement on the tables. We styled a simple single teared cutting cake with flowers and gold LOVE cake topper which was displayed with a fun assortment of desserts for guests to enjoy.
