Today! I am so excited to officially introduce you to Megan Sybrant. Megan is another one of our new folks! She will be working with us as a Graphic Designer + Calligrapher! Megan is a dear friend of mine and we are so excited to have her as a part of the Paper Hearts team.
If you think Megan looks familiar you are right! We helped her plan and style her wedding day! You can check out her lovely whimsical vintage diy wedding, to her sweetheart Aaron here!
Hey there! My name is Megan and I blog over at Arroway. My blog is a general mix of lifestyle posts, business tips and tricks and random adventures we go on! Let me tell you a little bit about myself… Well for starters, I live in the Big Sky Country, also known as Montana (the sky really is bigger there), with my husband and two dogs. We love anything outdoors and are always dreaming of new adventures, hobbies and places to see!
I attended journalism school in Oregon where I realized (just months into my junior year) I loved print design. The whole idea of someone telling me what to write (and it being generally boring to me) sounded unappealing. So after college, I set out to start my own graphic design business! Of course, it started when I designed my own wedding invitations. This past summer I opened up my Etsy shop as a way to have a more artistic outlet for more homemade products. I believe that a handmade home, is a happy home! More importantly, I really love encouraging notes and beautiful art to fill my home with. Aside from that, I primarily focus on pretty paperie. Anything from wedding stationary, graduation announcements, and bridal showers is what I love. Being able to physically hold your work and see it go off to so many different places is such a blessing.
As I got more into designing I realized that many of the invitations out there all look very similar. Many of which use the same five fonts. This began to bother me, as I found new fonts (that I thought were untouched). It was then that I decided to use my own handwriting! I started working with modern calligraphy and lettering and watercolor brush lettering. Earlier this year, I did a style shoot as well featuring my water color brush lettering. Here are a couple of my favorite photographs from the shoot you can check out the rest of the feature here.
Every event deserves to be as unique as a person. With the influx of Pinterest, and social media, it can be so hard to be original! What better way to be original than with handwriting unlike anyone else’s? My heart behind what I do, is to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind stationary. Here are a few examples of my work!
I am so excited to be partnering with Paper Hearts! If you are interested in working with me for your upcoming wedding, or event please email me!
