One of my favorite people is getting married! YEAH! It is really fun to celebrate with friends when they are getting ready to walk down the isle. However, one of the problems often is how? What do we do? How do we make it special? Well today I want to share with you a sweet bridal lunch that I helped to co-host.
My friend Alana is getting married, moving across the country and getting married in another state!!!! That is a lot and also means we have limited time to spend with her! So my friend Candice and I decided to throw her a intimate bridal lunch party on the roof top of her building. We invited some of Alana’s closest friends who lived in the area, and spent a long leisurely afternoon enjoying cocktails, food, and lots of fun stories, and laughs.
Often a party like this can be stressful, grab a friend and do it together. This is the breakdown of what we did to make Alana’s party both beautiful, fun, and enjoyable for us as hostesses.
1. Sent out invitations
2. Created a Menu:
Salumi, Cheese, Fruits + Crackers Plate
Chicken + Strawberry Greens Salad with Strawberry Vinaigrette
Watermelon, Feta + Basil Pasta Salad
3. Purchased ingredients and prepped food.
1. Made Cake: Italian Cream Cake with a raspberry filling
2. Bought flowers from the local market.
3. Gathered up some great plates, champagne flutes, cloth napkins, bottles and candles for table centerpieces.
4. Gold dipped silverware. – super easy!
We went with easy to make delicious recipes that came together with ease. Making a great cheese plate can save you a lot of time and headache and is a great starter. We enjoyed all of our delicious dishes as different courses. This gave us more time to just sit and enjoy the party with the guests.
I hope this gives you the encouragement to have your own lunch party, or dinner with friends!
Check out all the beautiful photos from the day!
